David Dimmock was born at St Peter's & christened March 30th, 1817 at St Peter’s, St Albans, Hertfordshire, the son of Sarah Welch & Thomas Dimmock.

David married Mary Halsey on September 23rd, 1837 at St Peter’s, St Albans, Herts. David gave his abode as Oak Farm & he was a labourer like his father Thomas. Mary, who was a minor, gave her abode as The Camp & her father was William Halsey, also a labourer. Witnesses at the wedding were William Woolmer & Elizabeth Little.
